The North American Red Squirrels (Tamiasciurus hudsonicus) can be an extremely common squirrel in THE UNITED STATES.  It won't be combined with the Western european Red Squirrels that's probably the most frequent Eurasian squirrels.

North American Red Squirrels can be found in many regions of the us where conifers are routine.
