The North American Red Squirrels (Tamiasciurus hudsonicus) can be an extremely common squirrel in THE UNITED STATES.  It are not confusing using the Western european Red Squirrels that is probably the most frequent Eurasian squirrels.

North American Red Squirrels are located for most aspects of the usa where conifers are normal. Inside the southern Rockies there's a subspecies that is often refered to because Spruce Squirrel.  Like the majority of squirrels, the North American Red Squirrels have high early on mortality. No more than 22% of young survive to achieve one year old.
